While the Bethesda Dental Implant Center specializes in periodontics and implant dentistry, we also provide comprehensive oral health services, including:
Routine dental care is key to achieving optimal oral and gum health. Taking proper care of your teeth and gums can help reduce your risk of complex dental problems such as periodontal disease, tooth loss, and tooth decay. Furthermore, dental implants require a certain level of good oral health to succeed. Our experienced dental care team can work with you to create an oral care plan that is right for your needs.
Do You have a Healthy Dental Hygiene Routine?
As dental implant specialists and periodontists, Dr. Yousefi, Dr. Roy Eskow, and the dental care team of Bethesda Dental Implant Center understand the importance of good oral hygiene. We stress its role in maintaining dental health every day.
Our goal is prevention and preservation through:
- Excellent at-home oral care
- Presenting for regular recall & maintenance appointments
- Use of concentrated fluoride if applicable
- Use of occlusal appliance to minimize destructive forces from clenching and grinding
Patients who make these a healthcare priority typically experience better dental health in the long run. Routine dental care will reduce your risk of exacerbating the effects of larger health concerns, such as diabetes and heart disease. Studies have shown that poor oral health can increase the impact that such diseases can have on overall health.
we recommend that you establish a good at-home routine and visit us twice a year for preventive care or 3-4 times a year for periodontal maintenance. During these visits, your Bethesda dentist can look for the early signs of dental and oral problems that can lead to more complex issues if untreated, or caught after damage to the teeth and/or gums has occurred.
During preventive care visits, patients are also screened for signs of oral cancer and periodontal disease. Both of these issues can be considered “silent diseases” because patients can be asymptomatic, or show no symptoms, until the late stages.
Dental hygiene should be considered an important part of overall healthcare. Keeping a healthy and well-functioning smile plays a key role in our daily quality of life. Being able to speak normally and eat a varied diet supports our overall health long-term.
If you have been avoiding the dentist because of fear, anxiety, or stress, we offer options to ensure that you feel relaxed and comfortable while we restore your oral health.
