Dr. Eskow is one of the first dentists in the world to undergo training and become certified to offer the Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation treatment. If you are looking for the most conservative, minimally invasive way to repair gum recession, Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation may be right for you.

What are Traditional Treatment Options for Gum Recession?

Traditionally, gum grafting has been one of the most common methods for treating receding gums. For this surgery, a thin piece of gum tissue is transferred from another part of your mouth to build up gum tissue in the affected area and cover exposed tooth roots. Gum grafting requires making several small incisions as well as suturing the areas that have been treated. As a result, the affected area often needs a week or two of recovery time to heal after this procedure.

How is Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation Different?

By contrast, Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation enables Dr. Eskow to treat gum recession without incisions or sutures. Using a needle, he can create a tiny “pinhole” entry point in the gum tissue. Then he will gently massage the tissue over the receded part of the tooth with a special instrument. As a final step, tiny collagen strips are inserted help stabilize the gums.

Also known as the Lunchtime Gumlift™,  Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation is a quick procedure that provides instant cosmetic improvement. The pinhole entry point that makes it all possible heals quickly, often overnight; this is a long-term solution for gum recession that should last as long as other treatment options.
